How long does a typical project take?
Completion time depends on factors like geometry complexity and the physics involved, but it is always estimated in advance and agreed in the proposal — our experience lets us estimate confidently before any project work begins, avoiding unexpected delays. Factors that influence completion time include turbulence resolution (RANS or LES), time accuracy (steady-state or transient), geometry complexity and surface quality, and the number of scenarios investigated. Our shortest project lasted a week; the average project runs in the order of months.
How much does a study cost?
Like time estimation, cost estimation depends on the physical complexity and the expertise required. Contact us for a precise estimate of time and cost for your specific case.
Do I need CFD knowledge to work with you?
No. Our consulting model is a complete outsourcing solution — an engineering description of your problem, the geometry or area to analyse, and the operating flow conditions are all we need to get started.
How is confidentiality handled?
All work is carried out exclusively by CompFlow personnel at company premises and never outsourced, under strict bidirectional non-disclosure agreements. Note that during training held at CompFlow premises, confidential matters cannot be discussed.
What software do you work with?
We work with both open-source and commercial toolchains — OpenFOAM and SU2 for solving, plus CAD, meshing and post-processing tools including CATIA, NX, Rhino, Fusion 360, ICEM, ANSA, SnappyHexMesh, Pointwise, ParaView and VisIt — ensuring smooth integration with most existing engineering workflows.
