Expert backup for teams running their own simulations.
Ongoing support across geometry, meshing, solving and post-processing for in-house teams. When a case will not converge, a mesh will not build or a result looks wrong, the question goes to engineers who have seen it before — rather than costing your team a week.
1 · What the service covers
Support is deliberately broad: the bottleneck is rarely where a team expects it, so we cover the whole chain rather than a single tool.
| CAPABILITY | WHAT IT MEANS IN PRACTICE |
|---|---|
| Geometry and meshing | Diagnosis of mesh generation failures, quality problems and the geometry defects that cause them. |
| Solver setup review | Independent review of turbulence, thermal and multiphase model choices, boundary conditions and numerical schemes before a long run is committed. |
| Convergence troubleshooting | Identifying why a case diverges or stalls, and the setup change that fixes it rather than a relaxation-factor guess. |
| Result interpretation | A second opinion on whether a result is physical, and what the residuals, imbalances and sensitivity actually indicate. |
| Methodology review | Periodic review of your standard practice against current methods, so in-house workflows do not quietly drift out of date. |
2 · How a project runs
Scope, response expectations and a yearly hour allocation are agreed, along with the escalation route for urgent problems.
We review your tools, standard cases and workflow once at the start, so later questions do not require re-explaining the context.
Questions raised as they arise, answered against the agreed response terms, with hours drawn from the allocation.
Where a problem needs more than an answer, we take the case, diagnose it directly and hand back a working setup with an explanation.
Regular review of recurring issues, so support work turns into permanent capability rather than repeated rescue.
3 · Typical engagements
A production case that will not converge is diagnosed and returned with a working, explained setup.
Independent check of model and boundary choices before committing significant compute time to a study.
A second opinion on a result that will inform a costly decision, including sensitivity to the key assumptions.
Structured support during a team’s first year of independent simulation, tapering as internal confidence grows.
4 · What you receive
Support is normally a yearly agreement covering a set number of consultancy hours, with unused scope reviewed at renewal. Ad-hoc support is available for specific interventions.
All work is carried out by CompFlow personnel at company premises under strict bidirectional non-disclosure agreements, on in-house computing facilities including a 120-core cluster. Engagement is project-based (predefined deliverables and deadlines) or yearly (a set number of consultancy hours).
